I believe that good interior design is for everyone and that practical & down-to-earth people can do anything with the right knowledge & inspiration.
My mission is to make beautiful interior design simple by teaching you the basics in the most attainable way possible.
Over 20 years ago I graduated with my degree from the well-respected Interior Design program at Calgary Alberta's Mount Royal University so that I could spend my life doing what I love. After working for a dozen years in corporate design, I switched gears and now spend my days running True Design House.
Aside from working with hundreds of local clients doing both renovations & staging consultations for real estate listings, I've written dozens of articles online (I’m probably best known for my series on living with oak!) and have an online community of over 36 000 members - that's a lot of beautiful people looking for help with their homes!
My clients normally come to me with a home they want to change and a handful of great ideas - my job is to work together with them to create a beautiful plan to pull it all together and make sure it's going to be amazing (without wasting their time & money on bad choices that just don't work). I work with clients locally and, up until recently, worked privately with clients online from all over the world.
Along with occasional one-on-one work with clients online, I spend most of my time writing guides, e-books & courses so that I can more efficiently help people to start loving where they live!
